Among the 1.4 billion people in China, there are 110,000 dentists and 110,000 dental technicians. The ratio of dentists to the total population is currently 1:12727. It was 1:100,000 in 1985, 1:50,000-60,000 in 1995, 1:25,000 in 2005, and to date, 1:13,000 in 2010. Thus, it can be seen that dentists have been increasing rapidly and that stomatal dentistry is developing rapidly with the booming Chinese economy. But compared to developed countries and regions such as Europe, America and Japan, whose ratio is 1:1000-2000, there is still a large gap.
